Intact America's
Skin in the Game Award

On April 30, 2025, Intact America proudly hosted its inaugural Skin in the Game Award in New York City, honoring artist and activist Alan Cumming for his bold advocacy in celebrating the natural male body and defending children’s right to genital autonomy.

The event marked a breakthrough moment for the intactivist movement, uniting longtime advocates and new voices in a powerful evening of stories, connection, and shared purpose.

Thanks to the passion and generosity of our community, we raised nearly $150,000 to support our ongoing efforts to end the harm of circumcision through education and advocacy. To all our attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and staff: thank you for making this moment possible, and for proving we all have Skin in the Game.

Event Details

On April 30th, 2025, Intact America hosted its first Skin in the Game Award gala at Poster House, NYC. This pinnacle event highlighted IA’s 17 years of advocacy, education and public policy reform all in service to its mission – to end the practice of circumcision. It also stood as the inaugural presentation of the Skin in the Game Award to artist, ally and intactivist, Alan Cumming. Mr. Cumming has been a long time supporter of the intactivist movement through his public messaging, authorship (May the Foreskin be With You) and work with IA. Intact America was honored to present this unique award to Mr. Cumming who authentically embodies intactivism, foreskin positivity, compassion and support – the key attributes of the award’s recipients.

The event’s signature Pink Carpet made a stunning foyer into a fabulous evening donned in fabulous attire for IA’s attendees. Beginning with its exclusive VIP reception, the immersive evening treated guests to specialty cocktails, like the Uncut Martini, passed savory and sweet bites and a custom interactive social media activation all culminating in live DJ performances by Mr. Cumming and DJ, Bright Light Bright Light. The sips, bites and beats truly made the gala the power toast of the season.

The event brought together over 100 members of the intactivist community – some who have stood with IA for years and many who were new to the movement. With the support of these many guests and others abroad, IA successfully raised over $150,000.00 to support its many Initiatives which include DoNoHarm.report, the Skin in the Game campaign and publications (Please Don’t Cut The Baby: A Nurse’s Memoir by the mother of the intactivist movement, Marilyn Milos, RN, and This Penis Business by Georganne Chapin, Founding Executive Director of Intact America).

His many theatre triumphs range from iconic performances as diverse as the Emcee in Cabaret to nearly all the parts in Macbeth, to touring the world with solo cabaret shows, the most recent of which is entitled Uncut; his filmography weaves seamlessly between blockbuster and art house; he is a #1 New York Times best-selling memoirist and the author of six other books; he has had huge television success in dramas like The Good Wife and most recently as the Emmy-winning host of Peacock’s The Traitors.

As an activist and philanthropist, he has worked extensively for animal rights (as seen in the recent HBO documentary ‘Chimp Crazy’), many LGBTQ+ organizations, and in the fields of mental health, sex education, reproductive rights and anti-circumcision.
